Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Winter in the Seaward Alps, St Jeannet by Henry Herbert La Thangue was auctioned at Christies in London in December 2011. It changed hands for a price of GBP 11,875.00 (€ 14,221.99) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Henry Herbert La Thangue achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Leaving Home in February 2003 with an auction result of GBP 666,650.00 (€ 973,287.97).

Die Arbeit Winter in the Seaward Alps, St Jeannet von Henry Herbert La Thangue kam im Dezember 2011 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 11.875,00 (€ 14.221,99) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 8.000,00 – 12.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Henry Herbert La Thangue erzielen.
