Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Fetching Water From Lake Garda by Henry Herbert La Thangue was auctioned at Sothebys in London in May 2013. The price achieved of GBP 68,500.00 (€ 80,087.20) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 50,000.00 – 80,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Henry Herbert La Thangue achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Leaving Home in February 2003 with an auction result of GBP 666,650.00 (€ 973,287.97).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Fetching Water From Lake Garda von Henry Herbert La Thangue kam im Mai 2013 bei Sothebys in London zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 68.500,00 (€ 80.087,20) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 50.000,00 – 80.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Henry Herbert La Thangue erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Leaving Home im Februar 2003 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 666.650,00 (€ 973.287,97).
