Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Mending the lobster pots by Henry Edward Spernon Tozer was auctioned at Christies in London in March 2002. The price achieved of GBP 705.00 (€ 1,152.49) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 600.00 – 800.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Henry Edward Spernon Tozer - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Apples, cabbages and swedes, which sold at auction in June 2000 for GBP 2,350.00 (€ 3,725.04).
