Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Henry Edward Spernon Tozer could be acquired at Christies in London in May 2012 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Christie's Interiors auction, the work 'A good appetite' (illustrated); and 'Preparing the meal' changed hands for GBP 1,250.00 (€ 1,557.45) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Henry Edward Spernon Tozer - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Apples, cabbages and swedes, which sold at auction in June 2000 for GBP 2,350.00 (€ 3,725.04).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Henry Edward Spernon Tozer konnte im Mai 2012 bei Christies in London für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Christie's Interiors wechselte die Arbeit 'A good appetite' (illustrated); and 'Preparing the meal' für GBP 1.250,00 (€ 1.557,45) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 2.000,00 – 3.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Henry Edward Spernon Tozer mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Apples, cabbages and swedes beobachtet, die im Juni 2000 für GBP 2.350,00 (€ 3.725,04) versteigert wurde.
