In June 2000 Christies in London held the auction British Art on Paper, which included the work Apples, cabbages and swedes by Henry Edward Spernon Tozer. The price achieved of GBP 2,350.00 (€ 3,725.04) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Apples, cabbages and swedes is the most expensive artwork by Henry Edward Spernon Tozer that we have observed at auctions so far.
