Auction result misses estimated price range
In November 2002 a collector was able to acquire the work Water Lilies and Spanish Moss by Henry Chapman Ford for USD 11,352.50 (€ 11,430.23). This price was achieved in the auction CALIFORNIA, WESTERN AND AMERICAN PAINTINGS at Christies in Los Angeles and was even below the estimate range of USD 12,000.00 – 18,000.00 set by the auction house. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Henry Chapman Ford - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Etchings of the Franciscan Missions of California, New York, Studio Press, 1883, which sold at auction in October 2000 for USD 19,975.00 (€ 23,538.77).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im November 2002 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Water Lilies and Spanish Moss von Henry Chapman Ford für USD 11.352,50 (€ 11.430,23) erwerben.
