In the California Art auction, the work Mission San Carlos Borromeo de Carmelo sold for USD 12,750.00 (€ 12,100.22) - well above the upper estimate of USD 7,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Henry Chapman Ford; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Etchings of the Franciscan Missions of California, New York, Studio Press, 1883 sold at auction in October 2000 with the realized price of USD 19,975.00 (€ 23,538.77).
