In June last year Artcurial in Paris held the auction Dora Maar, which included the work Vitrine De Tatoueur (George Burchett «King Of Tattooists» Sur Waterloo Road) - Londres, 1934 by Dora Maar. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 2,886.00 44% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Dora Maar achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Portrait De Picasso in December 2012 with an auction result of EUR 360,750.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis um 44 % übertroffen
Im Juni letzten Jahres führte Artcurial in Paris die Auktion Dora Maar durch, in der auch die Arbeit Vitrine De Tatoueur (George Burchett «King Of Tattooists» Sur Waterloo Road) - Londres, 1934 von Dora Maar zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 2.886,00 und damit 44% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Dora Maar erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Portrait De Picasso im Dezember 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 360.750,00.
