Auction result well in line with expectations
In June last year Artcurial in Paris held the auction Dora Maar, which included the work Vendeur De Ballons - Londres, 1934 by Dora Maar. It changed hands for a price of EUR 1,968.00 achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of EUR 1,500.00 – 2,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Dora Maar achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Portrait De Picasso in December 2012 with an auction result of EUR 360,750.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juni letzten Jahres führte Artcurial in Paris die Auktion Dora Maar durch, in der auch die Arbeit Vendeur De Ballons - Londres, 1934 von Dora Maar zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von EUR 1.968,00 den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 1.500,00 – 2.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Dora Maar erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Portrait De Picasso im Dezember 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 360.750,00.
