Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2018 Sothebys in Hong Kong held the auction Modern and Contemporary Southeast Asian Art, which included the work View Of Mekong by Henri Mège. The price achieved of HKD 32,500.00 (€ 3,659.55) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 28,000.00 – 38,000.00. Admittedly, works by Henri Mège have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work A Spring Morning In A Countryside Near Hue in October 2018 with an auction result of HKD 137,500.00 (€ 15,482.70).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober 2018 führte Sothebys in Hong Kong die Auktion Modern and Contemporary Southeast Asian Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit View Of Mekong von Henri Mège zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 32.500,00 (€ 3.659,55) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 28.000,00 – 38.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Henri Mège auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit A Spring Morning In A Countryside Near Hue im Oktober 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 137.500,00 (€ 15.482,70).
