Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Outback of Fair Foo Province, Quang-Nam | 廣南FAIR FOO內陸地區 by Henri Mège was sold in the La Mystique de L'Indochine auction at Sothebys in Hong Kong in December 2020. The price achieved of HKD 52,920.00 (€ 5,581.91) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 40,000.00 – 60,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Henri Mège - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work A Spring Morning In A Countryside Near Hue, which sold at auction in October 2018 for HKD 137,500.00 (€ 15,482.70).
