Auction result well in line with expectations
In May last year Sothebys in Hong Kong held the auction Modern Art Online, which included the work Retour de Pêche l'hiver, Centre Annam by Henri Mège. The price achieved of HKD 50,400.00 (€ 5,983.56) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 40,000.00 – 60,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Henri Mège - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work A Spring Morning In A Countryside Near Hue, which sold at auction in October 2018 for HKD 137,500.00 (€ 15,482.70).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai letzten Jahres führte Sothebys in Hong Kong die Auktion Modern Art Online durch, in der auch die Arbeit Retour de Pêche l'hiver, Centre Annam von Henri Mège zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 50.400,00 (€ 5.983,56) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 40.000,00 – 60.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Henri Mège mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit A Spring Morning In A Countryside Near Hue beobachtet, die im Oktober 2018 für HKD 137.500,00 (€ 15.482,70) versteigert wurde.
