Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In June 2020 Sothebys in Hong Kong held the auction Modern and Contemporary Southeast Asian Art, which included the work Pavillon De La Stele (Pavillion Of The Stele) by Henri Mège. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 23,750.00 (€ 2,727.94), 19% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Henri Mège have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work A Spring Morning In A Countryside Near Hue in October 2018 with an auction result of HKD 137,500.00 (€ 15,482.70).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Juni 2020 führte Sothebys in Hong Kong die Auktion Modern and Contemporary Southeast Asian Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Pavillon De La Stele (Pavillion Of The Stele) von Henri Mège zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 23.750,00 (€ 2.727,94) und damit 19% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Henri Mège auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit A Spring Morning In A Countryside Near Hue im Oktober 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 137.500,00 (€ 15.482,70).
