This artwork by Henri Mège achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in Hong Kong in July 2020. In the Modern and Contemporary Southeast Asian Art Day Sale auction, the work Amazon River Scene, French Guyane sold for HKD 52,500.00 (€ 5,752.08) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 25,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Henri Mège - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work A Spring Morning In A Countryside Near Hue, which sold at auction in October 2018 for HKD 137,500.00 (€ 15,482.70).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Henri Mège erzielte im Juli 2020 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Modern and Contemporary Southeast Asian Art Day Sale wurde die Arbeit Amazon River Scene, French Guyane für HKD 52.500,00 (€ 5.752,08) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 25.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Henri Mège mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit A Spring Morning In A Countryside Near Hue beobachtet, die im Oktober 2018 für HKD 137.500,00 (€ 15.482,70) versteigert wurde.
