Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Henri Manguin achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in New York in May this year. In the Impressionist and Modern Art Day Sale auction, the work Mimosas dans la chocolatière sold for USD 144,900.00 (€ 136,005.26) - well above the upper estimate of USD 70,000.00. Admittedly, works by Henri Manguin have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Les Oliviers À Cavalière in May 2016 with an auction result of USD 1,150,000.00 (€ 1,032,779.52).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Henri Manguin erzielte im Mai diesen Jahres bei Christies in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Impressionist and Modern Art Day Sale wurde die Arbeit Mimosas dans la chocolatière für USD 144.900,00 (€ 136.005,26) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 70.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Henri Manguin auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Les Oliviers À Cavalière im Mai 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 1.150.000,00 (€ 1.032.779,52).
