The work Pierre Lebasque jouant de la guitare by Henri Lebasque was sold in the Impressionist and Modern Art Day Sale auction at Christies in New York in May this year. The »bidding war« ended at USD 44,100.00 (€ 41,392.90), 47% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Henri Lebasque achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Le goûter sur la terrasse à Sainte-Maxime in May 2011 with an auction result of USD 1,022,500.00 (€ 711,254.87).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 47 % übertroffen
Die Arbeit Pierre Lebasque jouant de la guitare von Henri Lebasque wurde im Mai diesen Jahres in der Auktion Impressionist and Modern Art Day Sale bei Christies in New York versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 44.100,00 (€ 41.392,90) und damit 47% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Henri Lebasque erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Le goûter sur la terrasse à Sainte-Maxime im Mai 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 1.022.500,00 (€ 711.254,87).
