Auction result well in line with expectations
In November last year Christies in New York held the auction Impressionist & Modern Art Day Sale, which included the work La Guitare by Henri Laurens. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 30,000.00 – 50,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 30,240.00 (€ 29,293.81) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Henri Laurens achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Le Boxeur in July 2020 with an auction result of GBP 2,055,000.00 (€ 2,292,195.94).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November letzten Jahres führte Christies in New York die Auktion Impressionist & Modern Art Day Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit La Guitare von Henri Laurens zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 30.000,00 – 50.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 30.240,00 (€ 29.293,81) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Henri Laurens erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Le Boxeur im Juli 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 2.055.000,00 (€ 2.292.195,94).
