This artwork by Henri Gaudier-Brzeska achieved an unexpectedly high price at Bonhams in March this year. In the Pictures and Prints Online auction, the work Male Nude Seated sold for GBP 2,167.50 (€ 2,465.95) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 1,200.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Henri Gaudier-Brzeska achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Homme Et Cheval in July 2013 with an auction result of GBP 254,500.00 (€ 290,810.61).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 81 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Henri Gaudier-Brzeska erzielte im März diesen Jahres bei Bonhams einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Pictures and Prints Online wurde die Arbeit Male Nude Seated für GBP 2.167,50 (€ 2.465,95) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 1.200,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Henri Gaudier-Brzeska erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Homme Et Cheval im Juli 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 254.500,00 (€ 290.810,61).
