Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Salerno, Italy, 1933 by Henri Cartier-Bresson was auctioned at Christies in New York in February 2016. The price achieved of USD 5,000.00 (€ 4,600.66) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Henri Cartier-Bresson achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work On the Banks of the Marne, France in April 2017 with an auction result of USD 212,500.00 (€ 195,043.60).
