Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Mes Ancêtres Gaulois by Henri Goetz was auctioned at Sothebys in Paris in October 2018. The price achieved of EUR 8,750.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 7,000.00 – 10,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Henri Goetz - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Sans Titre, which sold at auction in December 2015 for EUR 22,500.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Mes Ancêtres Gaulois von Henri Goetz kam im Oktober 2018 bei Sothebys in Paris zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 8.750,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 7.000,00 – 10.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Henri Goetz mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Sans Titre beobachtet, die im Dezember 2015 für EUR 22.500,00 versteigert wurde.
