Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2019 Christies in Amsterdam held the auction Post-War & Contemporary Art, which included the work Stikselwerk no. 62-13 (Stitching no. 62-13) by Henk Peeters. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of EUR 20,000.00 – 30,000.00, the actual price achieved of EUR 21,250.00 could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Henk Peeters - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Witte Veertjes op Zwart (White Feathers on Black), which sold at auction in April 2015 for EUR 49,500.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2019 führte Christies in Amsterdam die Auktion Post-War & Contemporary Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Stikselwerk no. 62-13 (Stitching no. 62-13) von Henk Peeters zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 20.000,00 – 30.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von EUR 21.250,00 konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Für andere Arbeiten von Henk Peeters mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Witte Veertjes op Zwart (White Feathers on Black) beobachtet, die im April 2015 für EUR 49.500,00 versteigert wurde.
