Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2006 Christies in London held the auction Old Master Pictures, which included the work Putti Playing With A Teathered Bird by Hendrik Willem Schweickhardt. The price achieved of GBP 9,600.00 (€ 14,256.30) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Hendrik Willem Schweickhardt - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work 'Boeren Buijtenvreugt': a wedding dance in a village, which sold at auction in May 2002 for EUR 35,850.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2006 führte Christies in London die Auktion Old Master Pictures durch, in der auch die Arbeit Putti Playing With A Teathered Bird von Hendrik Willem Schweickhardt zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 9.600,00 (€ 14.256,30) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 8.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Hendrik Willem Schweickhardt mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit 'Boeren Buijtenvreugt': a wedding dance in a village beobachtet, die im Mai 2002 für EUR 35.850,00 versteigert wurde.
