Auction result well in line with expectations
In May 2009 Christies in Amsterdam held the auction Old Master and 19th Century Art, which included the work A winter landscape with children playing with a sledge, clearing a path near a farm, a village beyond by Hendrik Willem Schweickhardt. It changed hands for a price of EUR 7,500.00 achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of EUR 6,000.00 – 8,000.00. Admittedly, works by Hendrik Willem Schweickhardt have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work 'Boeren Buijtenvreugt': a wedding dance in a village in May 2002 with an auction result of EUR 35,850.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai 2009 führte Christies in Amsterdam die Auktion Old Master and 19th Century Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit A winter landscape with children playing with a sledge, clearing a path near a farm, a village beyond von Hendrik Willem Schweickhardt zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von EUR 7.500,00 den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 6.000,00 – 8.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Hendrik Willem Schweickhardt auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit 'Boeren Buijtenvreugt': a wedding dance in a village im Mai 2002 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 35.850,00.
