Auction result well in line with expectations
In May 2016 Christies in Amsterdam held the auction Old Masters & 19th Century Art - (including Dutch Impressionism), which included the work A river landscape with anglers on the river bank near a fortified town, and A river landscape with figures boarding a ferry from a town wall by Hendrik Willem Schweickhardt. The price achieved of EUR 5,000.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. Admittedly, works by Hendrik Willem Schweickhardt have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work 'Boeren Buijtenvreugt': a wedding dance in a village in May 2002 with an auction result of EUR 35,850.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai 2016 führte Christies in Amsterdam die Auktion Old Masters & 19th Century Art - (including Dutch Impressionism) durch, in der auch die Arbeit A river landscape with anglers on the river bank near a fortified town, and A river landscape with figures boarding a ferry from a town wall von Hendrik Willem Schweickhardt zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 5.000,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Hendrik Willem Schweickhardt auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit 'Boeren Buijtenvreugt': a wedding dance in a village im Mai 2002 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 35.850,00.
