Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Winter Scene With Skaters On A Frozen River by Hendrik Willem Schweickhardt was sold in the Old Master Paintings auction at Sothebys in New York in June 2011. Here, the upper estimate of USD 12,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 13,750.00 (€ 9,467.74). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Hendrik Willem Schweickhardt - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work 'Boeren Buijtenvreugt': a wedding dance in a village, which sold at auction in May 2002 for EUR 35,850.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Winter Scene With Skaters On A Frozen River von Hendrik Willem Schweickhardt wurde im Juni 2011 in der Auktion Old Master Paintings bei Sothebys in New York versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 12.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 13.750,00 (€ 9.467,74) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Hendrik Willem Schweickhardt mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit 'Boeren Buijtenvreugt': a wedding dance in a village beobachtet, die im Mai 2002 für EUR 35.850,00 versteigert wurde.
