It achieved a price of EUR 7,500.00 exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 50 %. Admittedly, works by Hendrik Nicolaas Werkman have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Vrouweneiland XXII (Martinet Hot Printing 42-80) in December 2006 with an auction result of EUR 45,600.00.

Die Arbeit Woman with medicin bottle - Hot Printing V (Martinet Hot Printing 37-27) von Hendrik Nicolaas Werkman kam im Juni 2008 bei Christies in Amsterdam zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von EUR 7.500,00 und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 50 %. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Hendrik Nicolaas Werkman auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Vrouweneiland XXII (Martinet Hot Printing 42-80) im Dezember 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 45.600,00.
