Auction result well in line with expectations
In May 2014 Christies in Amsterdam held the auction Old Masters, 19th Century and Impressionist Art, which included the work Houseboats along a quay by Hendrik Jan Wolter. The price achieved of EUR 3,750.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Hendrik Jan Wolter achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A view of the river Amstel in winter, seen from the artist's studio, Amsterdam in November 2012 with an auction result of EUR 145,000.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai 2014 führte Christies in Amsterdam die Auktion Old Masters, 19th Century and Impressionist Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Houseboats along a quay von Hendrik Jan Wolter zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 3.750,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Hendrik Jan Wolter erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit A view of the river Amstel in winter, seen from the artist's studio, Amsterdam im November 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 145.000,00.
