Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work In The Harbour by Hendrik Jan Wolter was sold in the Old Masters & 19th CenturyArt - (including Dutch Impressionism) auction at Christies in Amsterdam in November 2015. Here, the upper estimate of EUR 5,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for EUR 5,625.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Hendrik Jan Wolter achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A view of the river Amstel in winter, seen from the artist's studio, Amsterdam in November 2012 with an auction result of EUR 145,000.00.
