Sold at the upper estimate price
In September 2012 Christies in Amsterdam held the auction Nineteen to Now, incl. Topographical Observations, which included the work Haringbooten, Whitby; harbour scene by Hendrik Jan Wolter. The auction ended at the price of EUR 2,000.00, which exactly corresponded to the upper end of the estimated price range of EUR 1,500.00 – 2,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Hendrik Jan Wolter achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A view of the river Amstel in winter, seen from the artist's studio, Amsterdam in November 2012 with an auction result of EUR 145,000.00.
Zuschlag beim oberen Schätzpreis
Im September 2012 führte Christies in Amsterdam die Auktion Nineteen to Now, incl. Topographical Observations durch, in der auch die Arbeit Haringbooten, Whitby; harbour scene von Hendrik Jan Wolter zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von EUR 2.000,00 entsprach exakt dem oberen Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 1.500,00 – 2.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Hendrik Jan Wolter erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit A view of the river Amstel in winter, seen from the artist's studio, Amsterdam im November 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 145.000,00.
