Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Ceres Seeking Her Daughter; Jupiter And Mercury In The House Of Philemon And Baucis; Landscape At Dawn. Aurora (B., Holl. 5, 6, 7) by Hendrik Goudt was auctioned at Sothebys in London in September 2016, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of GBP 1,500.00 – 2,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for GBP 1,188.00 (€ 1,375.85). Admittedly, works by Hendrik Goudt have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Tobias With The Angel Dragging The Fish (Hollstein 2) in March 2012 with an auction result of GBP 7,500.00 (€ 8,991.11).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Ceres Seeking Her Daughter; Jupiter And Mercury In The House Of Philemon And Baucis; Landscape At Dawn. Aurora (B., Holl.
