The result of GBP 10,000.00 (€ 11,212.20) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Hendrick van Steenwijk II achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Saint Jerome In His Study in July 2012 with an auction result of GBP 337,250.00 (€ 429,565.85).

Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von GBP 10.000,00 (€ 11.212,20) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 10.000,00 – 15.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Hendrick van Steenwijk II erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Saint Jerome In His Study im Juli 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 337.250,00 (€ 429.565,85).
