Upper estimate price exceeded by 25 %.
The work Two Figures In A Gothic Interior by Hendrick van Steenwijk II was sold in the Old Masters Day Sale auction at Sothebys in London in December 2018. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 7,500.00 (€ 8,355.67), 25% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Hendrick van Steenwijk II achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Saint Jerome In His Study in July 2012 with an auction result of GBP 337,250.00 (€ 429,565.85).
