Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Pietà (B. 41; Holl. 50; S. 331) by Hendrick Goltzius was auctioned at Sothebys in London in December 2021. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 3,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 3,024.00 (€ 3,607.00). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Hendrick Goltzius achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Jupiter And Antiope in January 2010 with an auction result of USD 6,802,500.00 (€ 4,904,470.08).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Pietà (B. 41; Holl. 50; S. 331) von Hendrick Goltzius kam im Dezember 2021 bei Sothebys in London zur Auktion. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 3.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 3.024,00 (€ 3.607,00) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Hendrick Goltzius erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Jupiter And Antiope im Januar 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 6.802.500,00 (€ 4.904.470,08).
