Auction result well in line with expectations
In April 2019 Sothebys in New York held the auction Photographs, which included the work 'Paloma Picasso, Saint-Tropez' by Helmut Newton. The price achieved of USD 31,250.00 (€ 27,899.29) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 25,000.00 – 35,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Helmut Newton achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work "Big Nude III" (Variation), Paris in May last year with an auction result of USD 2,340,000.00 (€ 2,180,598.27).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im April 2019 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Photographs durch, in der auch die Arbeit 'Paloma Picasso, Saint-Tropez' von Helmut Newton zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 31.250,00 (€ 27.899,29) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 25.000,00 – 35.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Helmut Newton erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit "Big Nude III" (Variation), Paris im Mai letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 2.340.000,00 (€ 2.180.598,27).
