In April 2021 Bonhams in Los Angeles held the auction Made in CaliforniaContemporary Art, which included the work Night Tree, 1952 by Helen Lundeberg. The »bidding war« ended at USD 12,112.50 (€ 10,068.58), 73% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Helen Lundeberg achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Tree in December 2013 with an auction result of USD 185,000.00 (€ 134,262.28).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 73 % übertroffen
Im April 2021 führte Bonhams in Los Angeles die Auktion Made in CaliforniaContemporary Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Night Tree, 1952 von Helen Lundeberg zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 12.112,50 (€ 10.068,58) und damit 73% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Helen Lundeberg erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Tree im Dezember 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 185.000,00 (€ 134.262,28).
