The work The Adventure Room, Celbridge by Hector McDonnell was auctioned at Sothebys in London in October 2007. The auction ended at the price of GBP 10,000.00 (€ 14,360.66), which exactly corresponded to the upper end of the estimated price range of GBP 7,000.00 – 10,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Hector McDonnell - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Warner Dailey's Kitchen, which sold at auction in May 2007 for GBP 21,600.00 (€ 31,785.86).
