Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Man in Antler Bar II by Hector McDonnell was sold in the The Irish Sale Part II auction at Christies in London in May 2007. The price achieved of GBP 3,600.00 (€ 5,297.64) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Admittedly, works by Hector McDonnell have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Warner Dailey's Kitchen in May 2007 with an auction result of GBP 21,600.00 (€ 31,785.86).

Die Arbeit Man in Antler Bar II von Hector McDonnell wurde im Mai 2007 in der Auktion The Irish Sale Part II bei Christies in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 3.600,00 (€ 5.297,64) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Hector McDonnell auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Warner Dailey's Kitchen im Mai 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 21.600,00 (€ 31.785,86).
