Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Two fisherwomen on the beach at low tide (illustrated); and Two young boys in a dinghy on a calm day by Hector Caffieri was sold in the Christie's Interiors auction at Christies in London in August 2012. It changed hands for a price of GBP 1,125.00 (€ 1,418.91) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 800.00 – 1,200.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Hector Caffieri achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Catching Tiddlers in June 2007 with an auction result of GBP 18,000.00 (€ 26,711.09).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Two fisherwomen on the beach at low tide (illustrated); and Two young boys in a dinghy on a calm day von Hector Caffieri wurde im August 2012 in der Auktion Christie's Interiors bei Christies in London versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 1.125,00 (€ 1.418,91) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 800,00 – 1.200,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Hector Caffieri erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Catching Tiddlers im Juni 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 18.000,00 (€ 26.711,09).
