Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Mother carrying her child through the shallows by Hector Caffieri was auctioned at Bonhams in London in November 2020. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 1,500.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 1,657.50 (€ 1,850.33). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Hector Caffieri achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Catching Tiddlers in June 2007 with an auction result of GBP 18,000.00 (€ 26,711.09).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Mother carrying her child through the shallows von Hector Caffieri kam im November 2020 bei Bonhams in London zur Auktion. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 1.500,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 1.657,50 (€ 1.850,33) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Hector Caffieri erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Catching Tiddlers im Juni 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 18.000,00 (€ 26.711,09).
