A top price for Hector Caffieri - as previously expected
The work Catching Tiddlers by Hector Caffieri was auctioned at Christies in London in June 2007. The price achieved of GBP 18,000.00 (€ 26,711.09) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 15,000.00 – 20,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Catching Tiddlers is the most expensive artwork by Hector Caffieri that we have observed at auctions so far.

Die Arbeit Catching Tiddlers von Hector Caffieri kam im Juni 2007 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 18.000,00 (€ 26.711,09) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 15.000,00 – 20.000,00 angegeben worden. Auch wenn das Ergebnis damit nicht positiv überraschen konnte, ist Catching Tiddlers das teuerste Kunstwerk von Hector Caffieri, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
