The work Plum Blossoms and Peonies by He Xiangning was worth HKD 275,000.00 (€ 28,647.69) to a buyer in May 2012. This price was achieved in the auction Fine Chinese Modern Paintings at Christies in Hong Kong and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of HKD 20,000.00 many times over. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by He Xiangning - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Monkey, which sold at auction in June 2015 for HKD 875,000.00 (€ 101,196.88).

Dieser Preise wurde in der Auktion Fine Chinese Modern Paintings bei Christies in Hong Kong erzielt und übertraf den zuvor angesetzten oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 20.000,00 um ein Vielfaches. Für andere Arbeiten von He Xiangning mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Monkey beobachtet, die im Juni 2015 für HKD 875.000,00 (€ 101.196,88) versteigert wurde.
