Auction result well in line with expectations
In May 2017 Christies in Hong Kong held the auction Fine Chinese Modern Paintings, which included the work Ink Plum Blossom by He Xiangning. It changed hands for a price of HKD 75,000.00 (€ 8,563.99) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of HKD 60,000.00 – 80,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by He Xiangning achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Monkey in June 2015 with an auction result of HKD 875,000.00 (€ 101,196.88).
