Artwork auctioned at three times the upper estimate price
The work Ink Plum Blossoms by He Xiangning was worth HKD 275,000.00 (€ 31,303.01) to a buyer in April 2019. This price was achieved in the auction Fine Chinese Paintings at Sothebys in Hong Kong and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of HKD 70,000.00 many times over. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by He Xiangning - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Monkey, which sold at auction in June 2015 for HKD 875,000.00 (€ 101,196.88).
Kunstwerk zum Dreifachen des oberen Schätzpreises versteigert
Die Arbeit Ink Plum Blossoms von He Xiangning war einem Käufer im April 2019 HKD 275.000,00 (€ 31.303,01) wert. Dieser Preise wurde in der Auktion Fine Chinese Paintings bei Sothebys in Hong Kong erzielt und übertraf den zuvor angesetzten oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 70.000,00 um ein Vielfaches. Für andere Arbeiten von He Xiangning mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Monkey beobachtet, die im Juni 2015 für HKD 875.000,00 (€ 101.196,88) versteigert wurde.
