Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Two Friends in a Chair by He Sen was auctioned at Christies in Hong Kong in May 2016, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of HKD 800,000.00 – 1,200,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for HKD 625,000.00 (€ 72,238.44). Other works by He Sen have also sold for higher prices; the highest price we have seen at auction so far was achieved in April 2008 by the work Cigarettes And Alcohol at HKD 1,687,500.00 (€ 139,071.33).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Two Friends in a Chair von He Sen im Mai 2016 bei Christies in Hong Kong versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 800.000,00 – 1.200.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für HKD 625.000,00 (€ 72.238,44) den Besitzer. Andere Arbeiten von He Sen wurden auch schon teurer gehandelt; den höchsten Preis, den wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachten konnten, erzielte im April 2008 die Arbeit Cigarettes And Alcohol mit HKD 1.687.500,00 (€ 139.071,33).
