Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Waiting For The Boats by Haynes King was sold in the Victorian, Pre-Raphaelite & British Impressionist Art; Maritime Art; Sporting & Wildlife Art auction at Christies in London in December 2015. The price achieved of GBP 1,500.00 (€ 2,036.93) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 1,200.00 – 1,800.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Haynes King achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Love Letter in November 2006 with an auction result of GBP 16,800.00 (€ 24,948.53).

Die Arbeit Waiting For The Boats von Haynes King wurde im Dezember 2015 in der Auktion Victorian, Pre-Raphaelite & British Impressionist Art; Maritime Art; Sporting & Wildlife Art bei Christies in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 1.500,00 (€ 2.036,93) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 1.200,00 – 1.800,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Haynes King erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Love Letter im November 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 16.800,00 (€ 24.948,53).
