Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In March 2011 Christies in London held the auction Victorian & British Impressionist Pictures Including Drawings & Watercolours, which included the work The letter by Haynes King. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 812.50 (€ 919.34), 16% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Haynes King achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Love Letter in November 2006 with an auction result of GBP 16,800.00 (€ 24,948.53).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im März 2011 führte Christies in London die Auktion Victorian & British Impressionist Pictures Including Drawings & Watercolours durch, in der auch die Arbeit The letter von Haynes King zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 812,50 (€ 919,34) und damit 16% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Haynes King erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Love Letter im November 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 16.800,00 (€ 24.948,53).
