Auction result well in line with expectations
In March 2015 Christies in London held the auction Victorian, Pre Raphaelite & British Impressionist Art, which included the work Afternoon tea by Haynes King. It changed hands for a price of GBP 1,875.00 (€ 2,592.29) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 1,500.00 – 2,000.00. Admittedly, works by Haynes King have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Love Letter in November 2006 with an auction result of GBP 16,800.00 (€ 24,948.53).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im März 2015 führte Christies in London die Auktion Victorian, Pre Raphaelite & British Impressionist Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Afternoon tea von Haynes King zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 1.875,00 (€ 2.592,29) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 1.500,00 – 2.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Haynes King auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The Love Letter im November 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 16.800,00 (€ 24.948,53).
