Auction result well in line with expectations
The work The proposal by Haynes King was sold in the Victorian & British Impressionist Art auction at Christies in London in March 2012. The price achieved of GBP 937.50 (€ 1,123.89) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 800.00 – 1,200.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Haynes King achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Love Letter in November 2006 with an auction result of GBP 16,800.00 (€ 24,948.53).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit The proposal von Haynes King wurde im März 2012 in der Auktion Victorian & British Impressionist Art bei Christies in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 937,50 (€ 1.123,89) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 800,00 – 1.200,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Haynes King erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Love Letter im November 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 16.800,00 (€ 24.948,53).
