In April 2021 Bonhams in Sydney / Melbourne held the auction Important Australian Art, which included the work Mt Olympus and Stream from Lake St Claire by Haughton Forrest. The »bidding war« ended at AUD 11,070.00 (€ 9,202.00), 58% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Haughton Forrest have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Top Sail Schooner And Sailing Yacht in March 2005 with an auction result of AUD 65,725.00 (€ 40,238.76).

Im April 2021 führte Bonhams in Sydney / Melbourne die Auktion Important Australian Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Mt Olympus and Stream from Lake St Claire von Haughton Forrest zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von AUD 11.070,00 (€ 9.202,00) und damit 58% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Haughton Forrest auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Top Sail Schooner And Sailing Yacht im März 2005 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von AUD 65.725,00 (€ 40.238,76).
