Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Clinton River, New Zealand by Haughton Forrest was sold in the Important Australian Art auction at Bonhams in Sydney in August this year. Here, the upper estimate of AUD 20,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for AUD 22,140.00 (€ 13,211.69). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Haughton Forrest - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Top Sail Schooner And Sailing Yacht, which sold at auction in March 2005 for AUD 65,725.00 (€ 40,238.76).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
